David Gallezot

Founder / President / Technical Director

David is a passionate aviation enthusiast, of all kinds of aircrafts. In addition to working in the aviation industry, he is also an airplane pilot, mechanic and historian. And he would like to be a glider pilot and parachutist... A graduate of France's most prestigious school, Ecole Polytechnique, he completed his studies at Supaéro, one of the leading aeronautical engineering schools in Toulouse. His first job was designing avionics for a wide range of aircraft and helicopters. He pioneered mapping and databases, created certification requirements for innovative technologies and worked with a wide range of customers, partners and suppliers in France, Germany, Canada, the UK and the US, including the FAA and EASA. As Head of Airworthiness at Sky Aircraft, he helped organize this start-up to design the Douglas DC-3 of the 21st century and is now a recognized consulting engineer in the field of high safety on-board systems, design certification and organization approval against all European and US aviation regulations. He is adamant about simplicity and efficiency in aircraft, engine and system design and the paramount importance of safety. He also believes in social and environmental responsibility. He created Avions Mauboussin with the dream of reviving a famous brand of French light aircraft from the 1930s, and at the same time applying new technologies and green processes to general aviation.

Olivier Morandon

Aerodynamics

Olivier is passionate about aeronautics and paragliding in particular, for the simplicity and the proximity with nature. Graduated from ENSMA in Poitiers, one of the main aeronautical engineering schools, he completed his studies at Supaéro, and specialized in aerodynamics. During his first position at Sky Aircraft, where he participated in the design of a brand new aircraft from a blank sheet of paper, Olivier explored all the topics related to aerodynamics and flight qualities. The use of multiple numerical or experimental methods gave him a global vision of aircraft design. His subsequent positions at Daher (EFan, electric aircraft) and ATR (ATR 42 and 72, twin-engine aircraft) allowed him to refine his experience on different aircraft configurations. The coherence of the choices and the design, the search for the best compromise between the different disciplines are for him the key to a successful design.

Guillermo Claverie

Mechanical design engineer

Son of a military engineer, Guillermo grew up on an air force base. For this reason, watching planes take off and fly became the cornerstone of his passion. This led him to pursue his studies in aeronautical engineering at the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional in Argentina. He worked as a CAD and product engineer for the automotive industry, both during his studies and after graduation, mainly for PSA Group Argentina. During one of his trips through Europe in 2017, he visited Toulouse and then Paris, for the Paris Air Show. This made him realize that he needed to move to France to pursue his dream of working in the aeronautics field. Two years later, in 2019, he was accepted at ISAE Supaero to join the Specialized Master's program in Aeronautical and Space Structures. As part of his professional thesis, he joins Avions Mauboussin as a structure intern. Since his graduation, he decided to stay in the company as a mechanical design engineer to develop secondary structures and mechanical components for aircraft.

Baptiste Legrand

Propulsion Engineer

He remembers it very well, it is after watching a documentary on turbo-engines that Baptiste became passionate about these behemoths that are airplanes. Indeed, what 10 year old child can remain indifferent to so much mystery and complexity! With his high school diploma in hand, he began his crazy adventure by entering ESTACA (École Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautique et de Construction Automobile). His academic background, as well as his professional experiences, allowed him to lay bare the mechanisms that raised so many questions. Within the school, the associative projects to which he contributes, brings him a new vision of the conception in aviation. The NÉO project introduced him to light aviation, as well as a type of hybrid propulsion, all electric. His experiences in companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Gühring KG gave him a taste of the German corporate culture. He also learned about the wide range of professions and company know-how, from design and production to testing and quality assurance. Following his engineering internship, Baptiste joined the Avions Mauboussin team as a propulsion engineer. He is currently developing his CIFRE thesis project, in partnership with Avions Mauboussin and the FEMTO-ST institute, on the different hybrid and hydrogen architectures for aviation.

Specialized in aircraft and equipment maintenance for the AIRBUS A320, Patrick AMBLARD spent more than 30 years at EADS SOGERMA SERVICES which became SABENA TECHNICS. He started fleet support contracts, participated in company launches, was integration project manager for the first AIRBUS A340 VIP for Egypt, set up an ATEC workshop in Brazil, developed new skills in the hydraulic and air conditioning workshops at Mérignac, and managed an AOG equipment pool. This led him to successively establish himself in Toulouse, Macao, Beirut, Miami, Mexico City, Moscow, Istanbul, Kuwait and then Monastir for 8 years as Technical Director of SABENA TECHNICS TUNISIE in charge of the line, maintenance sites and major visits. Entrepreneurial spirit and team leader, pragmatic and solutions provider in the respect of quality requirements and customer satisfaction.

He then directed the prototype studies for the Mirage III family, which were directly derived from it. In charge of the study of the Jericho ballistic missile (1963), the Mercure aircraft (1968), director of the Hermes space shuttle project (1984). Pierre Olivier

Strategic Committee

If we describe Pierre's life in a few words, those words would be movement and innovation. He was born in Saint-Malo, France, a famous port that has also given birth to many sailors, explorers, writers and scientists. He graduated from ICN Business School - University of Nancy in the early 70s. After an internship at L'Oréal, he worked in Paris in consumer products marketing for major French companies, including Pernod-Ricard and Danone. Seeking new experiences, he was appointed Sales and Marketing Director at Smith & Nephew, a British medical device company, and Pierre's innovative ideas helped take the company to new horizons. His international experience continued when he joined Lohmann & Rausher, an Austrian-German company that is a leader in the same field. At the beginning of the 21st century, his international experience caught the attention of his former school and he joined the management team of the ICN business school in Nancy. There he was in charge of the Grande Ecole program and later assumed the role of Director of Corporate Relations. He also taught strategic marketing. Pierre is now retired and shares his life between his family, sailing and coaching. He continues to accompany entrepreneurs and students in Arts and Crafts in their projects, starting with, of course, the marketing side!
